World Class Athlete
From international athlete to big picture ‘health activist’ Allison Roe’s life has long been centred on health, wellness and energy.
The only woman to have won back to back record breaking Boston and New York Marathons (1981) Allison is one of a few to win National championships in three different sporting codes: cycling, running and triathlon.
Some of the numerous national and international awards include Sportsman of the Year (1981), Nurmi Awards for Best Female Athlete in the World and Best Female Runner of the Year (1981), and Abebe Bikila Award (2002) presented at United Nations for Outstanding Contribution to the Sport of Running.
Allison’s international work experience extends well beyond her sporting interests. From TV sports presenter to running her own TV sports production company for many years Allison has wide experience in public relations, and events production and holds board positions in the area of health. Allison successfully coached a start up triathlete with a swimming background to become the world short and long course triathlon champion.
Allison is a mother and step grandmother. With a strong belief in sustainable health care, Allison is a leader in world health and devotes much of her time to her passionate interest in doing her bit to create a sustainable health future.
